Norris Hot Springs is a place to soak and relax, but it’s also a great live music venue with a rotating schedule of performers. The first month of 2016 is no different!
One Man Soul band Dan Dubuque will perform Saturday, January 2nd. Dan plays a Weissenborn Lap Slide Guitar as a percussive instrument as well as a rhythm and lead instrument. He is the son of a Native Aymara Indian from Bolivia and a white American from Montana, bringing a passion for all styles of music. Original and obscure Americana artist John Lowell is set to take the stage on Sunday, January 3rd. John is the founder of the legendary Kane’s River bluegrass band and brings his songwriting, singing and amazing acoustic guitar skills to a rare appearance at the Poolside Stage. John is well known on the stages of Targhee, Winfield, Sweet Pea and tours internationally. Shea Stewart returns to Norris on Friday, January 8th. Bozeman’s own performs a distinctive blend of stripped-down acoustic blues and Americana. His soundtrack to the beauty of the hot springs and wetland go perfectly hand in hand. Shea always gets a great crowd. Heather Lingle will take over entertainment duties on Saturday, January 9th. Heather is a Montana-based singer/songwriter, and she is loved at Norris Hot Springs. Her debut radio release “Last Call on Love” made it into the top 40 on New Music Weekly’s National Country chart in 2012. She fronts a band comprised of a lead guitar player and upright string bassist, both of whom spent a considerable amount of time playing professionally in Nashville. Heather is the front person and rhythm guitarist.
Make way for Aaron Williams on Sunday, January 10th. From rock/reggae band In Walks Bud, Williams will be playing a variety of rock, folk, reggae, and instrumental tunes. He always brings a great crowd. Reggae in the Holy Bucket while the snow flies! Chad Ball will perform on Friday, January 15th. Returning to the Poolside Stage, Chad’s shows include a mixture of acoustic Folk/Blues with catchy storytelling melodies. From Butte, he has a strong influence from 70’s folk/rock.
Butte songwriter Sean Eamon comes to Norris on Saturday, January 16th. Sean gives an original twist to Americana and alternative country on acoustic guitar. Cosmic country folk artist Eddie Danger will take to the stage on Sunday, January 17th. Wisconsin’s traveling troubadour will be looping four-part vocal harmonies and instruments from around the world. Please welcome Eddie for his first stop at the Poolside Stage!
