Artists Sheila Hrasky & Tandy Miles Riddle to join Livingston Depot’s Roundhouse Roundup dinner event Thursday, July 21 at 5:30 p.m.
Amid the final preparations for its Roundhouse Roundup event Thursday July 21 at 5:30, the Livingston Depot Foundation announced it will also be rejoined by area artists Tandy Miles Riddle and Sheila Hrasky for plein air paintings. The event features a full chuck wagon dinner, dancing to the live music of Open Range, entertainment with award-winning trick roper Kowboy Kal, and the live art presentations in the attractive setting of the Depot’s historic colonnade and courtyard.
Hrasky and Riddle, who curated the Depot’s 2015 special exhibit “Train in Art,” will make an encore appearance painting “en plein air” using the event and architecture for inspiration. Additionally both artists will showcase recent work for viewing and sale. These well-received works, balancing the adventurous and accessible, bring out colorful visual explorations of both area railroading and the attractive Livingston Depot.
The Depot Foundations Roundhouse Roundup event has become a popular get-together reintroducing many to this architectural anchor of the historic downtown. Proceeds from the event benefit the Livingston Depot Foundation, which maintains the 1902 complex and adjacent park, its museum, educational programs, and community events.
The evening runs from 5:30 to 8:30 p.m., and ticket prices are $45 per person ($50 at the door) with reserved table opportunities for groups of eight or more. Sponsorship opportunities are also available, and tickets can be reserved directly with the Depot at 406 -222-2300.
