Pickle Barrel – Livingston
The Pickle Barrel in Bozeman started in the early 70’s and has been owned an operated by Ken and Kerry Olson since 1975. The original shop is located at 809 West College across from the Montana State University in an old barbershop. Attached to the barbershop building is an old house that was renovated in the mid 80’s and houses the ice cream (Wilcoxson’s, made in Livingston, MT) soup and dessert shop.

The sandwiches are state and maybe even “world renowned”. All are large and made to order with bread baked daily and fresh ingredients prepared daily. Customers come back year after year even after moving to other states. They bring their families and friends to experience a Pickle Barrel sandwich.
In the 90’s a new location was opened on main street. It can be found at 209/211 East Main in the Rockin’ R Bar. The Pickle Barrel down town specializes in sandwiches, soups, a few salads and of course ice cream. Also from 5:00 pm till close they offer nachos and quesadillas. You can usually find Ken there visiting with his employees and customers.

All orders at both shops are available for dine-in or take-out. The downtown store has lots of seating. The college store has limited seating inside and out.
All the Pickle Barrels in Montana (Livingston, Billings, Great Falls, Missoula and Bozeman) are family owned and operated. All are unique to their town and strive to maintain the quality and customer service that has prevailed for 28 years.
