In continuation of its latest season, Bozeman Film Society screens coming-of-age docudrama, Tony. The event will be held at Downtown Bozeman’s Ellen Theater on Thursday, September 17th. The film begins at 7:30pm.
In the film a, 19-year-old Anthony Bourdain travels to Provincetown and stumbles into the chaotic world of a restaurant kitchen, setting off a summer that will shape the course of his life. Directed by Matt Johnson, the film stars Dominic Sessa, Antonio Banderas, Emilia Jones and Leo Woodhall. Rated R with a run time of 106 minutes.
“I was – to be frank – a spoiled, miserable, narcissistic, self-destructive and thoughtless young lout, and badly in need of a good ass-kicking,” the late Bourdain said.
Also announced, the inaugural Bozeman Film Festival is coming to the screens of downtown this fall. The series is set for October 8th–11th and will feature four days of film, conversation and community. Choose from 23 film blocks spanning eight categories, plus industry panels, lively lectures, parties and pop-up socials, with more to be announced.
