The Bozeman Symphony has hired Christopher Freeze as its new executive director. Christopher brings to the Symphony 15 years of business experience and best practices to support the long-standing history of the Bozeman Symphony, approaching its 50th anniversary in 2017.
A native of Boston, Massachusetts, Christopher brings a wide range of administrative and leadership experience with emphasis on operations, strategic planning, financial management, and team and project leadership. He holds a Master’s degree in English from the University of Cambridge, attended Indiana University’s School of Music (graduate opera studies), and later received his Master of Public Affairs from Indiana University’s School of Public and Environmental Affairs. Having made a study of development, communications, and nonprofit financial management, Christopher brings experience from the Indianapolis Early Music Festival and the Apollo Music Festival. He holds a certificate of achievement for principles and techniques of fundraising and has participated in seminars hosted by the League of American Orchestras.
