Run, drink & be merry with annual St. Paddy’s foot race
There’s still time to register for Pub 317’s 2020 Run to the Pub! Several thousand 10K and half-marathon racers will don their finest St. Patrick’s Day attire before gathering at the starting line on Saturday, March 14th.
Participants will include those looking to run a personal best on the mostly downhill course, creative costume enthusiasts, and everyone in between. Registering for the event earns participants a technical race shirt, commemorative pint glass, finisher’s medal and a well-deserved beer at the finish line after party in Downtown Bozeman (for those 21+). And this year, each person who registers has FOUR chances at the grand prize – an all-inclusive trip to Ireland with free entry into the Dublin marathon.
Run to the Pub began thirteen years ago when one of the owners of Pub 317 motivated a few friends for a St. Patrick’s Day jog that ended with a beer at the bar. The event steadily grew from there, now hosting thousands of racers from all over the map.
The event is more than just a chance to get outside and have a good time – it’s also a way to aid local nonprofit organizations. A portion of the proceeds from the race goes to benefit the Bozeman Area Community Foundation, which supports hundreds of nonprofits across Gallatin County.
Note: Half Marathon buses depart Downtown Bozeman at 9am for a 9:45am race start time. 10K buses depart at 9:45am for a 10:30am start time. All runners MUST take provided busses. Vehicles parked near the starting line will be towed.
