Bozeman’s newest music venue, Faultline North brings a more eclectic music scene to Bozeman, one that introduces new genres, fresh acts, and puts local bands on stage.
Here’s a look at what’s coming up in January. Kentucky-born cellist and composer Ben Sollee will perform Sunday, January 24th at 8pm. Tickets to this all-ages show range from $12-$15. Doors at 7pm. Sollee’s music is difficult to pin down. Following a performance at the Lincoln Center’s American Songbook series, the New York Times remarked how Sollee’s “…meticulous, fluent arrangements continually morphed from one thing to another.
Appalachian mountain music gave way to the blues, and one song was appended with a fragment from a Bach cello suite, beautifully played.” It’s Ben’s quality of narrative and presence on stage that unifies his musical influences. Bozeman’s own The Bent Bones will perform at an album release party to celebrate the debut of their brand new album “Drivin’ to the Rhythm” on Friday, January 29th at 9pm. Tickets to this all ages show are $8 in advance and $12 at the door. Make sure to ask about a CatCard discount! Get a full set of The Bent Bones, including new songs off their album and pick up a copy for yourself. Doors at 8:30pm.
