MOR event w/ MeatEater Steven Rinella benefits Whittier students
Steven Rinella, hunter, author, conservationist and host of Netflix’s MeatEater and The MeatEater Podcast, will speak in the Hager Auditorium at Museum of the Rockies on Wednesday, April 10th. The event is a fundraiser for Whittier Elementary School.
Rinella, who is known for engaging a wide variety of audiences on the hunting and fishing lifestyle, will discuss his international hunting experiences, share his thoughts on stewardship and wildlife conservation and reflect on the value of passing outdoor lessons to children.
The evening will commence with a light reception in the lobby of the Museum of the Rockies, followed by a raffle for MeatEater gear. Seating is limited and tickets are required.
MeatEater first premiered on Netflix in January 2012 and has now completed its seventh season. The series has received four Sportsman Choice Awards nominations, including Best New Series, Best Host, Best Hunting Show and Best Educational Show. Rinella, who recently relocated to Bozeman, also writes for Outside Magazine and American Hunter. He is the author of several books including The MeatEater Fish and Game Cookbook (2018), MeatEater: Adventures from the Life of an American Hunter (2013), and American Buffalo: In Search of a Lost Icon (2009).
This event is hosted by the Whittier Elementary School Parent Advisory Committee (PAC) and all proceeds will benefit the PAC’s effort to support and enrich the lives of Whittier students.
Tickets are available at www.eventbrite.com for $45 and include one drink, entry into the raffle and admission to Rinella’s talk. Additional drink and raffle tickets can be purchased at the event; cash or check are preferred. Doors open at 6pm ahead of seating at 7pm, followed by the raffle, talk and Q&A at 7:30 pm.
