It’s quickly shifting to that time of year when the folks of Southwest Montana begin tending to spring cleaning and making plans for sunny season adventures. There’s no better place to find hidden treasures and new-to-you wares than the annual Garagarama event.
The Optimist Club of Bozeman will present the 58th annual event at the Gallatin County Fairgrounds on Saturday, April 1st from 8am–3pm. This yearly sale features an array of garage sale booths spread out in three separate buildings. Breakfast will be available from 7:30am to 11am, followed by lunch from 11am to 2pm.
As it has in years past, the event will feature a silent auction from 8am–2pm with great items from local vendors. The day of will include raffles, great food and family fun! All this for a nominal admission with ALL proceeds benefitting local youth.
If you’d like to show your support by donating items to the Optimists’ annual garage sale extraordinaire or are interested in available booth space, please call (406) 599-3535. Booth spaces are available for $70. Donations include furniture, household items and garage items, but does not include mattresses, tires and most appliances. Pick-ups available on a case-by-case basis.

The Optimist Club of Bozeman is a 501(c)3 nonprofit and “friend of youth,” devoting its time and energy to raising funds for local youth groups, organizing youth-oriented community events, and giving out non-traditional student scholarships and sports gear scholarships. Chartered in 1947, the Bozeman Optimist Club holds two major fundraising activities – its annual Christmas tree sales and Garagarama. Monies raised support a number of local organizations and activities that directly benefit area youth. •
