Random Acts of Silliness’ 4th Annual Crankie Fest: Out of the Box

Random Acts of Silliness’ 4th Annual Crankie Fest will explore extraordinary storytelling that takes us Out of the Box. A Crankie is an illustrated-scroll in a box (also known as a moving panorama) that tells a story. This year’s artists and performers will take their stories quite literally out of the Crankie box with unique puppetry, performance, audience participation, live music and sound effects.
Shows will take place in the Belgrade Library and Community Center on November 7th at 2:00pm and 3:30pm. Bozeman shows are at Beall Park Recreation Center on November 13th at 7:00pm, November 14th at 5:00pm and 7:0pm, and November 15th at 3:00pm and 5:00pm.
Shows are free, but reservations are required. Crankie shows are best suited for ages 5 to adult. Reservations can be made on our website: https://www.randomactsofsilliness.com/2026-crankie-fest
Crankie Open Houses on the 14th at 3:00pm and 15th at 1:00pm will invite community members to drop in for a closer look, meet the artists, and learn more about the process of creating a Crankie.
