Launching its new season, Bozeman Actors Theatre will present stagings of Heather Chrisler’s Haunting Jane Eyre. Performances will be held October 16th–25th at 406 Cirque. Friday and Saturday shows begin at 7pm, with Sunday matinees to follow at 2pm, with direction by Tessa Welsch.
Haunting Jane Eyre is a reimagining of the beloved Charlotte Brontë novel. When Jane Eyre stumbles through a storm and into a strange house, she encounters a mysterious young woman and is challenged to explain her story. As Jane’s tale unfolds, the boundaries between time and place begin to blur, and memory intertwines with reality. We are drawn into the familiar world of Jane Eyre, but this time with a new, unsettling perspective.
Advance tickets for Haunting Jane Eyre are $35 for general admission or $20 for students. Find ticketing access at www.bozemanactorstheatre.org. Tickets available at the door as space allows.
Looking ahead, BAT will present holiday production All Is Calm: The Christmas Truce of 1914 by Peter Rothstein Dec. 4th–13th and Hedda Gabler by Henrik Ibsen April 2nd–11th. Stay tuned for details.
