Bozeman’s Museum of the Rockies invites the community to take part in an evening of style and recognition. The local venue will host the Indigenous People’s Day Fashion Show on Monday, October 12th with doors at 7pm.
This inaugural event will showcase Angela Howe, designer of Choke Cherry Creek, whose designs celebrate the beauty, strength and resilience of her people. She is an enrolled member of the Apsáalooke (Crow) and Pikuni (Blackfeet) Nations of Montana. Angela’s work blends traditional Indigenous artistry with modern design, creating fashion that tells a powerful story of cultural pride and perseverance.
Also on the runway, fashion designer Rebekah Jarvey shows her work. Jarvey is an esteemed international designer, artisan, Fashion Show Director and model, proudly representing her Chippewa, Cree, and Blackfeet heritage as an enrolled member of the Chippewa Cree Tribe.
After seeing models walk wearing featured designs, join for a reception that features brand-new exhibit, “Getting Dressed,” featuring fashion from MOR’s collection and local Indigenous vendors.
Later in the month, MOR creeps into the spooky season with a favorite returning event for local youth. The Grossology Discovery Day is set for Saturday, October 17th with activities from noon–4pm.
Step into a world of scientific wonders and meet real scientists from MSU and other local experts. Pick up your “Grossology Passport” and embark on a journey to observe thrilling chemistry experiments and get up close with creepy, crawly critters. Embrace the challenge by visiting every gross station, and if you can stomach it all, a delicious treat awaits!
It’s the perfect setting for a family costume party themed around “mad scientists,” ideal for unleashing the inner scientist in all ages. This event is included with museum admission. Secure your spot by pre-registering or simply get your tickets at the door for a spooktacular time.

The local exhibitor has likewise announced the return of spirited seasonal event, “Pour & Gore: A Haunted Masquerade” The adults-only event will be held Friday, October 30th at 6pm.
Step into a world of mystery, intrigue, and a one-of-a-kind evening designed for grown ups. This immersive event invites guests to don a mask and explore a variety of haunting experiences throughout the museum. Create your own masquerade mask, receive personal tarot and palm readings, enjoy spooky gallery tours, and uncover eerie stories and mysteries during captivating talks in Hager Auditorium.
Guests can also experience a spooky, celestial-themed planetarium show, indulge in treats and cash bar drinks, enjoy classic parlor games, and themed selfie opportunities in the historic 1890 Tinsley House. Whether you’re drawn by fortune telling, ghostly tales, masquerade elegance or eerie stargazing, this atmospheric night promises a blend of mystery, merriment and Halloween fun.
Following the event, stay for a screening of The Phantom of the Opera in Hager Auditorium. Admission sold separately.
“Pour & Gore” tickets are $30 for members and $35 for non-members. Attendees must be 21+. Costumes encouraged, first drink included. Ticketing access may be found through the event host website.
Also at MOR, current changing exhibit Popnology: Celebrating Pop Culture’s Impact on Science & Technology will be on display beginning Oct. 3rd and into early 2026.
The traveling exhibit explores the fascinating intersection of pop culture, science fiction and technological innovation.
