Climbing doc screens as part of Bozeman Ice Fest
Presented in collaboration with the 25th annual Bozeman Ice Festival, Bozeman Film Society will screen adventure documentary The Alpinist as part of its 2021-22 season. The special screening event will take place at the Emerson Center for the Arts & Culture on Saturday, December 11th at 7:30pm.
Marc-André Leclerc climbs alone, far from the limelight. On remote alpine faces, the free-spirited 23-year-old Canadian makes some of the boldest solo ascents in history. Yet, he draws scant attention. With no cameras, no rope, and no margin for error, Leclerc’s approach is the essence of solo adventure. Directed by Nick Rosen and Peter Mortimer, The Alpinist is rated PG-13 and runs 82 min.
The film screens at 7:30pm at the Emerson Center for the Arts & Culture. Reserved tickets are $15 and available at www.bozemanfilmsociety.org. Visit the website to learn more about the current season.
