Freezin’ for a reason w/ 2019 Polar Plunge
What better way to support Montana’s Special Olympics athletes than with a harsh dip into icy winter waters? The President’s Polar Plunge 2019 will take place Saturday, February 16th at East Gallatin Recreation Area, just off Manley Road.
Sponsored by a number of local businesses and community members, plungers will take to the glacial waters at 1pm. Check-in will be held from 11:30am–12:30pm. Note: There is NO parking at the Recreation Area. Please arrange a drop-off or take the provided shuttle service from S Conley Sales, located at 384 Gallatin Park Drive. Thousands of plungers have raised hundreds of thousands of dollars since 2002 with this annual event. Let’s take this haul to the next level!
Attendees need not submerge themselves should they still like to offer their support on the sidelines while observing daring members of the community freeze for a purpose. The event is meant to band people together from this and neighboring communities in an effort to raise awareness. The Plunge entertains, while advocating for and representing the place we all call home.
