The owners of Zero Gravity Floating, Sylvia and Jessi Sparkman, would like to invite the Bozeman Community to join them for an Open House Celebration on Saturday, April 13th from 1–4pm. There will be tours of the facility, light refreshments, board games, puzzles, prizes, and an opportunity to visit with the staff and ask questions.
Zero Gravity Floating, Bozeman’s largest floating center, is now open at 702 West Main Street! This women-owned local business offers respite from sensory overload, pain, anxiety, stress, and the opportunity for quiet contemplation and meditation without the distractions of everyday life.
The Epsom salt-saturated water in the pods provides relief from the pull of gravity on the joints, and the quiet darkness allows the brain to relax and escape from the constant daily bombardment of sensory inputs. Most people express a feeling of relief and calm after floating, a feeling that can last for days or even weeks.
Zero Gravity has five flotation rooms, each with a private shower and dressing space. Four of the rooms contain state of the art, made in America flotation pods that provide the ultimate in Restricted Environment Stimulation Technique (R.E.S.T.). The fifth room contains a spacious pool for people who prefer a more open experience, need a little extra room, or have difficulty entering or exiting a pod. The pool room is equipped with an ADA accessible shower. All the rooms allow users to enjoy sensory restriction (especially light, sound, and touch) at their own level of comfort, with optional music, guided meditation, or chromatherapy.
The sparkling clear water is filtered four times between each floater, and is maintained at a temperature of 93.5 degrees, mimicking the body’s skin temperature. An intercom to the front desk is available in case a floater has a question while in the pod or pool. Each pod contains 800 pounds of Epsom salt, while the pool has 1400, making the density like that of the Dead Sea, so it is virtually impossible to sink.
Standard float sessions are one hour in length, but may be extended to 90 or 120 minutes, or even longer. Combination float/massage packages are available on Mondays. Gift certificates, multiple float discounts, and memberships are also available. All of the amenities necessary for a pleasant experience are provided, including towels, shampoo, conditioner, body wash, float headrests, and earplugs, as well as complimentary post-float water and tea, and a comfortable lounge area. Zero Gravity is open seven days a week, and sessions can be scheduled online at www.zerogravity.com or by calling (406) 586-3390.
While floating is intended to be a solitary activity, Zero Gravity can accommodate five simultaneous floaters, so friends and family can float and hang out together afterwards in the lounge. Bridal parties can escape the hubbub of wedding events and enjoy a time of quiet bliss together before or after the ceremony. Work or professional groups can center a team-building exercise around the shared experience of floating. While part of the group is floating, others can enjoy board games, read or engage in quiet conversation, as they choose.
Zero Gravity is a sanctuary for improving quality of life. The staff is committed to providing a clean, calm, and welcoming environment for guests to enjoy and get the most from their float experience, whether they seek pain management, stress relief, sports recovery, improved focus, or deep relaxation. It is amazing how an hour of nothing can improve your day.
