The Yellowstone Bend Citizens Council will host its 3rd Annual Meeting & Celebration on Thursday, October 6th at the Shane Lalani Center for the Arts in Livingston beginning at 7pm. Join in for a screening of Green Fire, followed by a brief and optional meeting to elect new officers. This will be a great evening to mingle, network, and enjoy a great film. Refreshments will be served, alongside a silent auction of a Bob Newhall oil painting! Green Fire is an award-winning documentary film about the iconic environmentalist Aldo Leopold—whose writings are still inspiring us today—and his extraordinary career, tracing how he shaped and influenced the modern environmental movement. Come help continue to build resources necessary to take on the critical work of transitioning to renewables, while at the same time pushing back on fossil fuels. The Shane Lalani Center is located at 415 East Lewis Street in Livingston.
The Yellowstone Bend Citizens Council (YBCC) supports fellow citizens to make the transition from fossil fuels to clean, renewable energy, and to mitigate the effects of oil and coal transport through Livingston. Help protect Livingston’s unique heritage, lifestyle, and sustainable and resilient future. YBCC members recognize that healthy communities depend on healthy ecosystems. They believe this unique quality of life and rich natural heritage can be preserved by promoting reliance on renewable energy and minimizing adverse effects from increased development of fossil fuels. YBCC holds itself and its government accountable to leave vibrant and healthy natural surroundings to the generations that will follow.
