Suce Creek Trail (No. 44) is a well-maintained trail that gradually climbs through the Gallatin National Forest and eventually the Absaroka-Beartooth Wilderness. Within the first mile, there a few signs pointing out different trails diverging from the main Suce Creek Trail (No. 44) such as the Suce Creek West Trail (No. 450) and the North Deep Creek Trail (No. 45). There are several creek crossings along the trail for the first 2.5 miles. Then, the last mile or so is one switchback that climbs to the end point of the trail. It’s about a total of 3.5 miles to the end point of Suce Creek Trail (No. 44). From there, notice the fork and go downhill on the light foot-trafficked Suce Creek West Trail (No. 45) for approximately 2 miles until crossing the creek to connect back to Suce Creek Trail (No. 44). The final stretch is 0.5 miles back to the trailhead.
