Bozeman Symphony Far Afield ensembles PercOrchestra and the Slidewinders will perform a concert at the Shane Lalani Center for the Arts – 415 East Lewis Street, Livingston, MT – on Thursday, September 8, at 7:30 PM. Symphony at the Shane performances feature the very best of the Bozeman Symphony Orchestra and Symphonic Choir. Each performance showcases two diverse soloists and ensembles. You’ll be wowed by these fantastic musicians and proud to know they are your neighbors!
PercOrchestra: Formed in 2000, PercOrchestra (Mark Brown, Kristofer Olsen, Stephen Versaevel, and Jeff Vick) performs a wide range of percussion literature on a musical journey around the world featuring: West African drumming, Steel Drum from Trinidad, marimba and percussion ensembles.
Slidewinders: The Bozeman Symphony Slidewinders is a dynamic new group in the Bozeman music community. Its members include the four trombones of the Bozeman Symphony trombone section. Their repertoire includes both original works for trombone quartet and transcriptions with styles ranging from classical to ragtime, jazz and more. Performances are a fun combination of education and entertainment. If you’ve ever wondered what four trombones sound like together, you owe it yourself to come find out!
