The snow is seemingly here to stay, and the icy temps call for a nice soak in the rejuvenative natural pools at Bozeman Hot Springs. A destination for locals and their families, the venue is also home to “Bozeman Unplugged,” a fantastic regional music series live from the pool-adjacent stage on regular Thursday and Sunday nights beginning at 7pm. Here’s a look at who’s set to perform.
On Sunday, February 24th, enjoy the talents of Something & the Anything. The high-energy groove machine has been taking the Bozeman area by storm with their blend of psychedelic rock and progressive funk. A completely instrumental trio that consists of Chris Cowan on guitar, Nathan Bennett on bass, and Justin Ditienne on drums, the trio takes every listener on a musical journey. With these guys, every show is unique, so every show sounds like something you’ve never heard before.

Larry Hirshberg
Missoula-based singer/songwriter and “guitarplayingfool” Larry Hirshberg helps close out the month on Thursday, February 28th. Playing all original songs with the aid of a looper, acoustic guitar, and some effects at times, Hirshberg describes his shows as “like listening to a porch song by a porch singer on a porch and then all of a sudden you realize you’re exiting the atmosphere in a dream.” Though no one’s completely sure what that means, he always puts on a good show.
And looking to next month, Jackson Holte & The Highway Patrol bring a Sunday show on March 3rd. The Missoula-based rock n’ roll is fronted by Holte, whose blend of earthy narrative songwriting and soaring blues guitar playing is complemented by Marko “The Midnight Shadow” Capoferri on bass, Tyson Gerhardt on guitar, and Brian Tremper on drums. With a firm grounding in America’s folk traditions, the band is able to bound across genres in an authentic and emotive re-imagining of what a working rock n’ roll band can be.
