Live from the Divide will present six concerts this October and November, bringing touring songwriters, established Americana artists and a hometown album release to its intimate listening room in Livingston.
Washington state folk duo The Lowest Pair opens the schedule Friday, October 9th. Their latest album, Always As Young As We’ll Ever Be, pairs vivid storytelling with understated arrangements, giving the duo’s banjos, guitars and close harmonies room to breathe.
British singer-songwriter Will Varley performs Saturday, Oct. 10th, making Livingston the only Rocky Mountain stop on his U.S. tour. His songs move between sharp observational humor, social commentary and deeply personal reflections, bringing a distinctly British folk perspective to the listening room.
John Moreland returns to Live on Tuesday, Oct. 13th, four years after performing at the venue during the tour behind Birds in the Ceiling. The Oklahoma songwriter has spent much of his career exploring new musical territory without abandoning the emotional directness at the heart of his songs, moving between spare acoustic arrangements and layered, experimental sounds.

Livingston singer/songwriter Lena Rich and her band celebrate the release of Emerald City on Friday, Oct. 23rd. The album draws from classic alt-country and indie rock, pairing overdriven guitars and rich harmonies with Rich’s observant, often wry songwriting. Its July single, “Black Box,” explores anxiety and yearning through the perspective of an airplane passenger looking down at the world below, while other songs find moments of humor amid heavier reflections on loss and uncertainty.
Canadian songwriter and Juno Award winner Fred Eaglesmith takes the stage Wednesday, Nov. 11th, bringing four decades of songs about small towns, rural life and the people who inhabit them. His music has been recorded by artists including Alan Jackson and Miranda Lambert, while his live performances blend sharp wit, heartfelt storytelling and country-rock energy.
Texas-born songwriter and guitarist Robert Ellis closes the announced lineup Monday, Nov. 16th, with music from Yesterday’s News. Recorded in just two days, the album strips his sound back to guitar, upright bass and occasional percussion, placing the focus on his voice and songwriting. It’s another creative turn for an artist whose previous work has moved between country, folk, jazz and piano-driven rock.
All six performances will take place at Live from the Divide inside the Empire Twin Theatre, located at 106 N Second St. in Livingston. Tickets and additional event information are available at www.livefromthedivide.com.
