Though our minimal accumulation may suggest otherwise, it’s already year’s end with plenty of reasons to celebrate with a night at Downtown Bozeman’s Eagles Bar. The local watering hole remains home to a steady schedule of Wednesday acoustics and weekend jamming. Here’s who’s helping FOE close out 2023.
Rigby Summer returns to FOE on December 6th for a stripped solo performance. The Oklahoma artist weaves an Americana soundscape spanning the genres of jazz, beach pop and what you might hear on the red dirt roads of the Sooner State. Her influences range from Mary Chapin Carpenter to the Frames, Sia to Johnny Cash, with her sound drawing comparisons to Brandi Carlile and Lucinda Williams.
The Disruptors take the stage with back-to-back performances on Dec. 8th and 9th. The high energy band does their darndest to get audiences singing along with their wide selection of rock n’ roll tunes from the ‘60s to now.
Singer/songwriter Hannah Jo Lally shows off her talents on Dec. 13th. From the back roads of Eastern Washington, enjoy an evening of country cuts and distinctive originals. She draws influence from the likes of Suzy Bogguss and Charley Pride, Waylon Jennings and Mary Chapin Carpenter, among others.
Next up are The Love Darts on Dec. 15th and 16th. The hard rock punk band got its start playing venues like the Haufbrau, having since grown into a fine-tuned project featuring some of Bozeman’s most energetic guitarists.
Mario Miner Jr. of two-piece rock n’ roll project Gallatin Ghost Train performs on Dec. 20th. Expect an evening of blues-skewing tunes and some original songs.
The following weekend sees the return of Dilly Dilly on Dec. 22nd and 23rd. The lively shows will feature a selection of your favorite rockin’ hits and plenty of room to dance.
Take in the acoustic stylings of local favorite Mathias on Dec. 27th. With powerful vocals and a percussive guitar style, he’s known for his dynamic live performances full of acoustic folk, rock, and funk tunes.
Returning to the stage following their shows earlier in the month, The Disruptors will be on hand to perform during New Year’s weekend with additional performances on Dec. 29th and 30th. Let your hair down before following through with any planned resolutions with these energetic local rock n’ rollers.
Exercise your pipes with Karaoke Night sponsored by Bozeman’s Best Entertainment Group, setting up at FOE every Thursday. Sing your heart out and cheer on your friends! Sign-ups start at 9pm.
Make sure to check out Bridger Mountain Big Band on Sunday nights. The ensemble performs at 7pm. The 17-piece jazz orchestra celebrates the music of Duke Ellington, Count Basie and more, with original arrangements and music of all genres from the 1900s to today. Check them out on social media for performance announcements.
Acoustic Wednesdays start at 8pm and weekend bands are on at 9pm. Head downtown for some great live music or stop in to support your local Eagles any night of the week. •
