It’s finally time for outdoor recreation here in Southwest Montana. So break out your running shoes because the Bozeman area has a number of races you can register for now! Here’s a look at what’s coming up.

The Hyalite Hill Climb will commence at 8am on Saturday, April 30th. This great new race will be a point to point run on the Hyalite Canyon Road. Runners will start at the bottom gate (11550 Hyalite Canyon Road), and run up to the Hyalite Reservoir. This run is roughly 8 miles long with over 1400 feet of elevation gain. Let’s get those legs burning! The finish line will have a hosted BBQ with refreshments, music, and social fun. The proceeds from this event will be donated to Friends of Hyalite. Participants MUST meet in the Kirk Hill Parking Lot on South 19th to take the bus to the start line. The Bozeman Summit School 5K & 1K Fun Run and Family Fun Day will kick off on Saturday, April 30th at 10am at their location on 3001 West Villard Street.
Proceeds from the event will benefit Bozeman Summit School and The Ritter Family, who recently lost all of their possessions in a Bozeman house fire. 5K & 1K Fun Runs will be followed by tons of Family Fun activities, including a Huge Bouncy Obstacle Course, Hot Air Balloon Ride raffle, Carnival Games and Prizes, Face Painting, Tumbleweeds food truck, and the expansive Natural Playground. The HAVEN Mother’s Day 5K will take place on Sunday, May 8th beginning at 10am at the Bozeman Ponds. This is your chance to get out and support the mothers in your life, all while contributing to a great cause! Help HAVEN engage our community in ending domestic violence. HAVEN is the Gallatin Valley’s non-profit serving survivors of domestic violence. Registration and more information for these races is available at racemontana.com/. Fees may apply to certain races. Start stretching, Bozeman! •
