Bozeman area Poetry Out Loud recitation competition is set for Wednesday, February 17th at the Berg library in Bozeman High School at 7pm. This is a nation wide competition in its 11th year. Student performers from the 9,10,11,12 grades have chosen poems from the National Poetry Foundation collection and will compete to go on to regionals in Butte. It is free to the public, and the performers would love and appreciate an audience. The regional, state and national meets all have a live audience. It is good for the students to get comfortable performing for the public.
Judges for Bozeman’s Poetry Out Loud are Jim Thompson, Rhonda Smith and Greg Keeler.
7PM on Wednesday, FEBRUARY 17th, doors open at 6:30PM. Poetry Out Loud in Bozeman is sponsored by the BHS English department, Bethany Spangalo department head. Coaches for Poetry Out Loud 2016 have been Heidi Robison and Lila Michael.
