Bozeman’s Community Mediation Center will host “Plates for Peace – An Evening with Parker Palmer” on Thursday, October 6th at the Hilton Garden Inn from 5:30–8:30pm.
Come join MSU Asst. Professor David Henderson as he leads a live televised conversation with world-renowned writer, speaker, and activist Parker J. Palmer to discuss his latest book, Healing the Heart of Democracy. This timely topic will help us all consider a more appropriate manner to state our passion in political discussions. Insight into the 5 Habits of the Heart will help us grow in our professional, private, and public lives. Palmer is the founder of the Center for Courage & Renewal and an active leader on issues in education, community, leadership, and social change. There will be time for Q&A.
This event will feature a no host bar beginning at 5:30pm, dinner at 6:15pm, and the live televised conversation set for 7pm. Cost is $45 per attendee. Email ticket requests to cmc@cmcmontana.org or purchase tickets online through www.facebook.com/cmcmontana/. Proceeds will benefit the Community Mediation Center’s mediation programs for school children, low-income families, and the civil courts.
