MSU and Karst Stage to offer low-cost, year-round airport shuttle for students
Montana State University and Karst Stage have teamed up to provide a low-cost shuttle service to and from Bozeman Yellowstone International Airport for MSU students.
Outbound service from MSU to Bozeman Yellowstone International Airport and inbound service from the airport to MSU will be available year-round, starting immediately. These services will be exclusively for MSU students.
Students will have the choice of either a one-way or round trip fare, which will cost $17 or $27, according to Chelsey Wilson, MSU student engagement and leadership adviser.
“MSU Office of Student Engagement is thrilled to be working with Karst Stage to offer this low-cost service to our MSU students,” Wilson said. “We want to ensure that our students without vehicles on campus have a safe and reliable transportation option to and from the airport.”
The shuttle will have four pickup and drop-off location options on campus. Those stops will be at the corner of 8th Street and Harrison Avenue, in front of the Strand Union Building, in front of South Hedges and in the Paisley Court neighborhood in Family and Graduate housing. Students using the return service from the airport back to campus will be asked to meet in the shuttle lane in front of the rental car counters.
“We know that students are going home or traveling throughout the year,” Wilson said. “While we have only offered the shuttle during winter break in the past, we have extended the service to offer year-round shuttle options to accommodate our MSU students.”
Reservations are required 24 hours in advance. Otherwise, there are no restrictions.
During winter break, all MSU students may park their cars for free in the East and West Stadium lots from Dec. 10 to Jan. 16. Normal ticketing will resume on Tuesday, Jan. 17.
