The Ellen Theatre in downtown Bozeman is not only your source for some of the area’s best film and stage performances. It also houses some of the best musical acts to come through town. Here’s a look at what’s coming up in early October.
Get in the Groove with The Hot Club of San Francisco, on Thursday, October 6th. An ensemble of accomplished and versatile musicians, the group celebrates the music of Django Reinhardt, and Stephane Grappelli’s pioneering Qunitette du Hot Club de France, with panache. And don’t forget those dancin’ shoes, as there will be room to skip, jump, and jive! The tunes kick off at 8pm. Admission is $24 for adults and $16 for MSU students and youth.

The Ellen is proud to present a jazz legend on Friday, October 14th for a night of great music, stories, and anecdotes. Pianist Monty Alexander met the incomparable Frank Sinatra at the age of eighteen, and since then has had an astounding career, performing with everyone from Sinatra to Count Basie to Judy Garland. Any fan of the swingin’ years wouldn’t dare miss “Monty Alexander – His Music, His Story.” Tickets are $28, or $32 for Cabaret table seating. The performance is set to begin at 8pm.
Wine, beer, and other refreshments, which may be brought into the theatre, will be sold in the lobby beginning one hour prior to all show times.
