The Gallatin Art Crossing is excited to announce its Annual Reception and Fundraiser during the Art Walks on Friday, August 12th at the Emerson Center for the Arts and Culture (North end) from 6-8pm. This Reception is open to the public and is a celebration of the GAC’s community effort as a unique outdoor sculpture exhibit. Located in downtown Bozeman, the exhibit hosts a variety of artwork, introducing viewers to many artistic approaches. Sculptures will remain downtown to be displayed for a minimum of one year. One of the goals of the Art Crossing program is to add at least one piece to the permanent collection every year. In addition to helping artists display and market their work, the Gallatin Art Crossing connects the public to an open voting opportunity through gallatinartcrossing.org/ for the selection of the People’s Choice award every year.
This year, the Art Crossing is celebrating its downtown project which includes rotations and 10 new pieces. The event includes live music, a food truck, hors d’oeuvres, community, and also will feature GAC Artists Jim Dolan and Pete Stecher welding your choice of scrap metal into a sculpture for you to take home during the fundraiser. Join in for this wonderful summer event and kick off the 2016-2017 Gallatin Art Crossing Installation, and over 70 pieces on display in Downtown Bozeman. Please bring cash to purchase an official GAC pint glass to be filled with complimentary beer and wine. Learn more and vote for the People’s Choice Award online at GallatinArtCrossing.com/. •
