The largest single giving day in Montana to raise critical funds for nonprofits in Gallatin County
On May 2nd and 3rd from 6pm to 6pm, One Valley Community Foundation will host the 10th annual Give Big Gallatin Valley initiative. Give Big is a 24-hour celebration that raises critical funds for nonprofits located in or serving Gallatin County. The initiative is designed to connect donors to the nonprofits they care most about to raise unrestricted funding to support their work.
Over the past nine years, our community has come together to raise $14.3 million through 82,603 gifts for hundreds of local nonprofits during Give Big. Last year alone, 6,650 generous donors raised north of $2.9 million for 250 nonprofits. Celebrating a decade of generosity, One Valley hopes to break records again by raising $3 million during the 2024 event.
“One Valley is thrilled to be hosting our 10th annual Give Big Gallatin Valley this year,” said Jill Ellwood, One Valley Community Foundation’s Nonprofit Programming and Relations Manager. “What began as a vision of raising $100,000 in 24 hours ten years ago has evolved into an event eagerly anticipated by our community each year. Witnessing the power of collective action and its profound impact on our local nonprofits is truly inspiring.”
Additionally, One Valley approached planning of this year’s event to be inclusive of nonprofits all shapes and sizes. Participating organizations are taking part to highlight their efforts, whether their work combats food insecurity, supports recreational activities for local youth, or offers the community access to the arts.
With the continued growth of our community, local nonprofits face increasing service demands and funding needs. One Valley, in collaboration with the event’s headline sponsor, Yellowstone Club Community Foundation, invites community members from Bozeman to West Yellowstone to join forces on May 2nd and 3rd to celebrate the nonprofits that play a vital role in cultivating a strong and vibrant Gallatin County.
