Popular local venue Pine Creek Lodge plays host to a number of shows for those looking to visit their favorite venue as the snowy season continues. Events have moved indoors but the music is as enjoyable as ever.
The Dead & Down perform on February 7th. The band envelopes the introspective and often heavy songwriting of Taylor Burlage in a blanket of sound descended from Southern rock and psychedelia. The Dead & Down will take you on a journey through moments of cosmic flare and pure, unadulterated rock n’ roll balanced with a Western feel. Their album, No Broken Bones, is available now.
Check out a solo show from songstress Abby Webster on Feb. 8th. Her songs blend alt-country, folk and bedroom pop elements, showcasing lyrics that are as whimsical as they are visceral. Her latest album, Livin’ by the Water, released in the fall.
Take in back-to-back evenings with Dead Sky on Feb. 14th and 15th. The local Grateful Dead tribute features members of Pinky & the Floyd, MOTH, Kelly Nicholson Band, Hooligans, Dead Yellers, SlomoJoe and more.
Paradise Valley favorites The Fossils return with a Feb. 22nd show. Known around town for their authentic hippie music, the band guarantees a rockin’ good time. The members have been acquainted for years and are connected by their love of music.
Take in a night with Wes Urbaniak on March 1st. A “musical love child of Tracy Chapman and Mumford & Sons,” the local musician makes noise on homemade guitars, beats on them with his hands, and tools and creates acoustic and amazing music.
Advance tickets for these shows are available now, but space is limited. All music begins at 7pm. Please visit www.pinecreeklodgemontana.com to learn more about these and other upcoming off-season shows. •
