Summer Camp: Magic & Illusion Grades 4–5

Artist Workshop: Natural Dye Painting on Fabric and Paper
In this workshop, we will explore creating ink from Hopi sunflower seeds for use on paper and textiles. We will learn about what makes a plant a dye plant and how to use mordants to create permanent color on fabric. We will also explore the spontaneity of wild ink and how you can play with vinegar, salt, and metals for surprising results on paper.
