The Bozeman Folklore Society is winding down its season of Contra dancing. Just two months left! Here is the information for the April dances:
No Foolin’! Bozeman Folklore Society is holding a Contra Dance Friday, April 1st, 2016. Helena Handbasket is the live band playing with Bev Young calling the dances. Event will be at the Bozeman Whittier School on the corner of Peach and 5th St, Bozeman. A half-hour beginners’ workshop starts at 7:30 pm, dance begins at 8 pm. Admission is $10, $8 for Bozeman Folklore Society members, $5 for MSU students and those 18 to 5 years of age. Please bring clean, grit-free, non-marking shoes to protect the floor.
Bozeman Folklore Society Flings into Spring with a Family Dance and a Contra Dance on Saturday, April 23, 2016. The Family Dance begins at 5 p.m. followed by a Contra Dance at 7:30 with a half hour beginner’s lesson. A potluck supper begins at 6:15. Live music will be provided for both dances. Da Skekklers witll play first and Skippin’ a Groove next with caller Derek Gallagher. Admission to the Family Dance is $15 per family. Admission to the Contra Dance is $10, $8 for Bozeman Folklore Society members, $5 for MSU students and those ages 18 to 5 .
