Laney Lou & the Bird Dogs:
Laney Lou and the Bird Dogs have been together since November of 2013. Although we are relatively new as a group, we have been surprised and excited at how welcoming the musical community is here in Bozeman. From doing open mics at the Hauffice to learning names and faces of the sound guys at new venues and playing with new bands, we are enjoying the ongoing networking of this town.
Hollwtops:
From the very first time Alex (Banjo), Bridger (fiddle), Max (Guitar) and Max (Bass) played music together in the Fall of 2013, there was instantaneous musical chemistry. Drawing from an array of musical backgrounds, Hollowtops fuse together Bluegrass, Rock and Roll, Classical, and Jazz in engaging compositions. Reigning from a Montana town with a spirited appreciation for bluegrass, it is no wonder that the Hollowtops captivate audiences with their sound and presence. Having shared the stage with Elephant Revival, Pert Near Sandstone, The Lil Smokies, Dead Winter Carpenters, Kitchen Dwellers and more, Hollowtops are lifting off into the Montana Bluegrass scene.

Scott Pemberton’s sound is much like the vibe of his native Portland: freaky, fun and just the right amount of weird. The best way to categorize his music is with the moniker “Timber Rock”. Scott naturally applies his own lens/stamp to the sounds of the Pacific North West, the region he has always called home. The deep jazz, NW rock/grunge, blues roots and the west coast funk. It’s all there, and often all in the same song.

The first time they ever made music together, Fruition’s three lead singer/songwriters discovered that their voices naturally blended into stunning three-part harmony. Eight years after that impromptu busking session, the Portland, Oregon-based quintet has grown from a rootsy, string-centric outfit to a full-fledged rock band with an easy but powerful grasp of soul, blues, and British Invasion era pop. On their new album Labor of Love, Fruition shows the complete force of their newly expanded and electrified sound, matching their more daring musicality with sophisticated, melody-minded songcraft. With Anderson, Asebroek, and Naja trading vocal duties and offering up their own singular brand of gutsy yet graceful songwriting, Fruition infuses each track on Labor of Love with timeless urgency and three-part harmonies that never fail to enthrall.
