BOZEMAN, MONTANA –The Montana Chamber Music Society inaugurates its 7th season with the Muir Quartet and guest artist Michele Levin performing on Oct. 28 and Oct. 30, 2015; both concerts are at 7:30 p.m. in Reynolds Hall at MSU Bozeman. These concerts will feature works by Mendelssohn, Bartok, Prokofiev, Schubert, and the great Dvorak and Brahms Piano Quintets. Net proceeds from these programs support MCMS’s mission to present great chamber music performances throughout Montana year-round.
The Grammy-winning Muir Quartet, now in its 37th season, has performed at Carnegie Hall, the White House, the Sydney Opera House, Amsterdam’s Concertgebouw, and many other international venues, including over 2,000 concerts and 50 tours to Europe and the Far East. They have been in Residence at Boston University since 1983. Ms. Levin has performed many times with the Muir both in Montana and on the national stage.
