2015-2016 Season Premiere Concert – Symphonic Fireworks with the Bozeman Symphony
Bozeman, September 19th & 20th, 2015
– The Bozeman Symphony begins their 48th concert season with a virtual kaleidoscope of symphonic virtuosity. After a two-year leave to pursue a Master’s Degree at Juilliard (on full-scholarship mind you!), the Symphony welcomes back to Bozeman Concertmaster Carrie Krause by showcasing her magnificent artistry as featured soloist in Rimsky-Korsakov’s Scheherazade. Known as our greatest orchestrator, Rimsky-Korsakov puts the orchestra on display as well with some of the most spectacular moments in the history of symphonic music.
The Symphony is also thrilled to introduce the extraordinary virtuosity of Taiwanese sensation, and winner of the 12th Arthur Rubenstein International Piano Competition, Ching-Yun Hu performing Tchaikovsky’s monumental 1st piano concerto- EPIC!
Performances will be held Saturday, September 19th at 7:30PM and Sunday, September 20th at 2:30PM at Willson Auditorium, Downtown Bozeman.
These performances would not be possible without strong community support and sponsorship. The concert weekend of September 19th is sponsored by Iris M.L. Model/Indian Uprising Gallery, Denis & Barbara Prager and Dori McTigue. Purchase a season subscription today and save up to 40% – new subscriber discounts available.
