Pine Creek Lodge’s summer concert series is attracting audiences far and wide, with the Paradise Valley venue once again bringing an expansive roster to its outdoor stage this season. Here’s a closer look at who’s performing this month.
Local legends The Fossils take over entertainment duties on July 5th. Known around town for their authentic hippie music, the band guarantees a rockin’ good time. The members have been acquainted for years and are connected by their love of music.
Emma & the Ledge open up for Red Elvises on July 6th. With humorous lyrics and grooves that practically force you to dance, the Elvises’ “Siberian Surf Rock” is sure to entertain.

Funnyman Rich Hall performs alongside the Cow Magnets on July 9th. Rightly regarded as one of the funniest comedians, Hall’s straight-talking and acerbic comedy leaves his targets reeling and his audiences in stitches. He is a superb live performer. Hall’s critically acclaimed grouchy, deadpan style has established him as a master of absurdist irony and the king of rapid-fire wit – he’s also the inspiration for the marvelously cantankerous barman, Moe Szyslak, in The Simpsons.
On July 10th, Stormgrass come to the Lodge. The Bozeman-based Americana string band plays fun, danceable tunes on guitar, mandolin, fiddle and standup bass.
Pick a night to see Pinky & the Floyd on July 11th and 12th as part of their annual “Pinky in the Pines” shows. Thursday will feature Animals in full, while Friday will see a full performance of Wish You Were Here. Two entirely different shows with bonus content each night. Pinky performances strike the perfect balance between intimacy and intensity, and the energy and stage presence is unprecedented.
Ryan Adams brings his solo tour to Southwest Montana on July 13th and 14th. He has produced albums for esteemed musicians including Willie Nelson, Jesse Malin, Jenny Lewis and has collaborated with some of music’s most influential artists such as Weezer, Fall Out Boy, America and many more.
Following on July 16th and 17th are Shakey Graves with Futurebirds. The Texas songwriter Alejandro Rose-Garcia draws on musical influences, ranging from the Beatles and Harry Nilsson to Elliott Smith, Broken Social Scene, Built to Spill and other ’90s indie rock bands. With a road-tested group of musicians and a hand-built stage set up complete with psychedelic lighting and props, Shakey Graves’ live show is something to behold.
Cole Decker performs July 18th. The Mississippi-born singer/songwriter pulls from his musical roots of old school country. He’s influenced by the likes of Waylon Jennings and newer artists including Chris Stapleton, Brent Cobb and Jason Isbell.
Check out The Young Dubliners with help from Doublewide Dreams on July 19th. After thirty years as one of the world’s leading Celtic rock bands, the boys return to Paradise with crowd favorites and cuts from their recent studio releases.
Returning to Paradise on July 20th is Corb Lund with opening support from David Huckfelt. Lund embraces his Western heritage and indie rock past through his music. He’s been known to filter a range of cowboy themes past and present through his unique lens – from rough-and-tumble tales of lawless frontier saloons to the somber realities of running a modern family ranch.
Emma & the Ledge follow on July 21st. The duo skillfully creates a sound that’s luminous and atmospheric, yet energizing enough to send an audience to their feet. Their music weaves together blues, alternative, rock, folk and independent styles utilizing a mix of acoustic and electric guitars.
Black Lillies frontman Cruz Contreras delivers a solo show on July 24th. The multi-instrumentalist, vocalist, songwriter and producer has roots in Tennessee and Michigan, but has impacted Americana music worldwide. The frontman, founder, and driving force behind The Lillies’ raw and rootsy sound also co-founded Robinella and the CCstringband, and has collaborated with musicians ranging from John Oates and Jim Lauderdale.
Bird Dog Josh Moore takes the stage July 25th. With solo sets marked by “feel-good” covers and originals of the folk and bluegrass variety, his folk-driven style combines elements of his many influences, John Prine, Guy Clark and Martin Sexton, among others.
moe. front back-to-back performances July 26th and 27th. Hailed by American Songwriter for their “mind-bending musicality,” the band is treasured for their mesmerizing musical synergy, unfettered showmanship and smart, resonant songcraft. Their live performances are marked by eclectic wit, deep friendship and exploratory invention.
Dillon native Kailey Marie shows off her stuff on July 28th. Raised on country grit and cosmic charm, her music is a mesmerizing blend of old-time outlaw country, soulful blues, and hip hop-infused rhythms. Her voice has a rebellious rasp and a sweet tone that is often compared to the likes of Janis Joplin or Dolly Parton.
Erik Stucky closes out a fantastic month of performances on July 31st. The Coloradan performs on the mandolin and guitar, combining his passion for lyric writing, folk instrumentation and big band arrangements.
