Another summer of live music beneath the pines is taking shape at Pine Creek Lodge, the iconic outdoor music venue nestled in Montana’s Paradise Valley, just south of Livingston. Known for pairing nationally touring artists with one of the most scenic stages in the American West, Pine Creek will once again host a wide-ranging lineup of rock, Americana, jam, bluegrass, indie, and roots artists throughout the 2026 season.
First up are Grammy-nominated Southern rock and blues group North Mississippi Allstars on May 28th. Opening support comes courtesy of Aaron Golay with music beginning at 7pm.
Their sound channels the raw, hypnotic spirit of North Mississippi hill country blues into a modern, high-energy framework. Blending driving rhythms, gritty guitar work, and improvisational jam sensibilities, the band draws deeply from the traditions of artists like R.L. Burnside and Junior Kimbrough while infusing their music with elements of Southern rock, soul, and psychedelic groove. Known for their electrifying live performances and deep respect for blues heritage, North Mississippi Allstars continue to bridge generations of American roots music with a sound that feels both timeless and fiercely alive.
Jam band bluegrassers North Fork Crossing follow on May 29th.
Their genre resides somewhere in a strange untapped musical realm between traditional bluegrass, psychedelic rock, Americana and folk. The quintet are drawn to bluegrass reaching a younger generation, priding themselves on their unique sound being the “evolution of string band music.”
Take in a show with Dogs in a Pile on May 30th.
Merging funk, jazz and rock n’ roll with psychedelia, the eclectic quintet presents a completely original vibe built on kaleidoscopic soundscapes eerily reminiscent of the days of yesteryear. The Dogs employ a unified approach to performance and songwriting, crafting aural mosaics through adept instrumentation and humble precocity. As avid storytellers, they draw inspiration from personal experiences, balancing life’s foibles with ever-present youthful sanguinity.
Brennan Scott Green opens for Texan country artist Red Shahan on May 31st.
His music blends the grit of outlaw country with the emotional weight of heartland rock, delivering songs that feel both rugged and deeply personal. A former Marine turned full-time musician, Shahan brings a lived-in authenticity to his storytelling, pairing raw, resonant vocals with driving guitars and anthemic melodies. Drawing comparisons to artists like Chris Stapleton and Ryan Bingham, his sound balances hard-earned honesty with a modern edge, capturing the restless spirit of the American West while remaining grounded in tradition.

Looking ahead, the summer series continues with a full spread of shows. Performing next is Colorado College Bluegrass Ensemble on June 3rd, Umphrey’s McGee June 4th–6th, Tom Catmull June 7th, Band of Drifters and The Beagles June 10th, Noise Pollution: The AC/DC Experience with opener Johnny Dango June 11th, Dead Sky June 12th, The Young Dubliners with Doublewide Dreams June 13th, Marshall Tucker Band with Jacob Rountree June 14th, Kruse Brothers with Kailey Marie June 17th, Pinky & the Floyd June 18th–19th, Melvin Seals & JGB June 20th, Corb Lund with Branson Anderson June 21st, Mountain Grass Unit June 24th, Johnny Dango June 25th, moe.
