Norris Hot Springs is now open from 10am-10pm daily, closed Tuesdays only. The 50 Mile Grill is open every day, serving locally sourced meats and poultry with weekly specials. Homegrown produce adorns the plates at the No Loose Dogs Café, and the staff reports the radishes are the best in memory. Norris Hot Springs is southwest Montana’s coolest spot to soak, enjoy delicious food and craft beers and meet some new musicians. Aside from its obvious draw, music is another great reason to visit Norris Hot Springs on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday evenings, with performances at 7pm.
Enjoy the finest in regional and touring acoustic musicians on the Poolside Stage. Americana artist Tommy Georges will perform on Friday, June 3rd. Tommy has been playing in the Rocky Mountain States for many years, opening for Poco, Hank Williams, Jr and the Nitty Gritty Dirt Band among others. He and his wife Melissa recently released their CD, Free Range Cactus. Heather Lingle will take the stage Saturday, June 4th. Heather is a Montana-based singer/songwriter whose debut radio release “Last Call on Love” made it into the top 40 on New Music Weekly’s National Country chart in 2012. She fronts a band comprised of a lead guitar player and upright string bassist, both of whom spent a considerable amount of time playing professionally in Nashville. Heather is the front person and rhythm guitarist. Jack and Kitty will stop by Norris on Sunday, June 5th. Jack and Kitty are an Emmy Award winning musical duo based in Minneapolis, Minnesota. They perform a tasteful blend of organic acoustic folk with influences of everything from vaudeville to reggae, R&B to pop. In addition to performing, Jack is a critically acclaimed filmmaker and Kitty is a yoga instructor with her own line of DVDs and online tutorials. The duo was called “one of the most entertaining acoustic acts in the Midwest” by the Minneapolis Star Tribune. Honest, organic, quirky–all words to describe Jack and Kitty. Neil Filo Beddow will return to the stage on Friday, June 10th. He plays original folk rock for the soul, and describes his guitar style as the West Dakota stutter–his lyrically scrambled iambic pentameter can be politically bent, spiritually seeking, tongue in cheek humorous with just a twist of serious. Victoria Rose will follow with a performance on Saturday, June 11th.
Acoustic singer-songwriter performs heartfelt covers and honest originals that draw out vulnerability and romanticize a full spectrum of human emotions. Welcome Maiah Wynne to the stage on Sunday, June 12th. She is a 19 year old singer, songwriter, musician, and actress. She is passionate about songwriting and has written over 100 songs (so far). She plays the piano, guitar, mandolin, ukulele, drums, banjo, and even the mountain dulcimer. Maiah’s music has been featured in over six feature films as well as multiple short films, commercials, and documentaries. Maiah’s emotional and innovative style of music has been described as Florence & The Machine and Emily Wells meets Norah Jones.
