One of Bozeman’s most anticipated benefit events of the year, Museum of the Rockies’ Wine & Culinary Classic, marks its 15th anniversary in 2016.
The date for this year’s event is set for Saturday, July 9, from 6:00 to10:30pm.
The theme for 2016 is Earthly Delights!
Earth, air, water and fire are the life-giving elements of the world. And the 15th Annual Wine & Culinary Classic will be a celebration of the Earthly Delights that spring from these natural elements, adding flavor to our drink, our food, and our lives.
Featured Vintners are Truchard Vineyards and Tamarack Cellars. Truchard is a family owned estate located in the upper Carneros region in the Napa Valley. Tony Truchard is considered one of the founders of the Carneros AVA with their first plantings in 1974.Tamarack Cellars was founded in 1998 by Ron and Jamie Coleman with a focus on producing hand-crafted, consistently outstanding wines. Honorary Chairs are Rip and Susan Macintosh, long-time friends and supporters of MOR and its Wine & Culinary Classic.
Again this year, special guest Fred Dame, Master Sommelier, will be at the event to share his expertise about wines of the world. As always, the evening will include wine tastings, locally catered foods, silent and live auctions, and MOR’s Dutch Auction which helps raise needed money for the Museum’s Changing Exhibits Fund.
One of the largest under-one-tent events in Montana and held on the Museum’s grounds, MOR’s Wine & Culinary Classic has earned a reputation for attracting wine and food enthusiasts from across the country, as well as those who simply enjoy learning about wine, and sampling the finest foods. Museum patrons and guests will enjoy friends and fun as they sip over 100 varieties of wine, savor delicious food from the local culinary landscape and, most importantly, support Museum of the Rockies.
