Livingston Depot hosts Railroad Swap Meet
The Livingston Depot Center and Livingston Model Railroaders will present the 27th Annual Railroad Swap Meet on Saturday, April 29th from 9am–2pm. The Depot, once the historic Northern Pacific railroad station in Downtown Livingston, hosts a museum during the summer and a variety of community cultural events throughout the off-season.
Interested presenters who have not already done so can reach the Depot directly before all spaces are taken.
The Swap Meet is a traditional get together for railroad enthusiasts and exhibitors from all around the western region. Vendors and swappers set out railroad antiques, memorabilia, collectibles, books, photos, documents, model train cars, tools, and nearly anything with a railroad theme. The model railroaders will be operating their tracks in a variety of gauges and may feature additional displays specially for the event. Admission is only a $1 donation to the Depot, and kids under 10 are free.
Call for artists! The Livingston Depot Center’s Festival of the Arts will be held in the Depot Rotary Park, adjacent to the Depot Center, Sunday through Tuesday, July 2nd–4th, from 10am–6pm, Sunday and Monday, and 10am–5pm on Tuesday. This popular annual juried event, now in its 30th year, is open to original artists and craftspeople in all media.
The application deadline for this year is May 13th. Interested artists and crafters should call the Depot Center for an application at (406) 222-2300 or email livingstondepot@gmail.com if they have not already received one.
