Bozeman Public Library offers more than just a vast selection of books, periodicals, and movies to its many pass-holders – it also hosts a number of events open to the public. Here’s a look at what’s coming up.
Has your family forgotten you when leaving for a holiday vacation? Perhaps a green meanie stole all your presents while you were sleeping? Did you purchase a twig of a tree, only to come to love it more than the most luscious fir?
Finally, join featured Atrium Gallery artist Adair Peck for an encaustic painting demonstration on Tuesday, December 18th from 6:30–8pm in the community room.
Encaustic painting involves using heated beeswax to which colored pigments are added. The wax is then applied to a surface, usually prepared wood. Tools and special brushes can be used to shape the paint before it cools.
Peck’s work is currently on display in the Library’s Atrium Gallery, through December 31st.
The Bozeman Public Library is located at 626 E Main St. For more information about other library happenings, please visit www.bozemanlibrary.org.
