The Livingston Film Series is delighted to present a special screening of zany cult classic The Adventures of Buckaroo Banzai Across the 8th Dimension on Thursday, May 8th. The film begins at 7pm at the Shane Lalani Center for the Arts.
Jump back in time with this strange and exciting sci-fi film from the heart of the 1980s. Buckaroo Banzai (Peter Weller) – physicist, neurosurgeon, and rock star extraordinaire – rushes to foil Lord John Whorfin (John Lithgow), an evil Red Lectroid from Planet 10, and his plot to conquer our dimension.
Joined by his trusty band and crime fighting crew, the Hong Kong Cavaliers, Banzai endeavors to stop the alien invasion and save Earth from utter annihilation. Rated PG, the film runs 103 minutes and is appropriate for all ages.
Prior to the screening, enjoy the LFS season celebration BBQ beginning at 6pm. All are welcome.
Finishing out its latest season of screening independent features, documentaries, local films and vintage classics, doors open at 6:30pm with screenings to follow at 7pm.
