Kountry Korner Café plates good eats, musical treats three nights a week

Next time you don’t feel like cooking, head down to the Kountry Korner Café for a great dinner and some live music. The Four Corners restaurant serves delicious grub, as well as local musician residencies throughout the month. Here’s a look at some upcoming performance dates.
Rich Mayo performs every Tuesday at 6pm. Upcoming dates include October 8th and 15th. Known for his stylistic versatility, Rich is an exceptional guitarist, vocalist and harmonica player. He is a founding member of local group Dos Mayos whose unique arrangements of Latin, jazz, blues and Americana span the decades. His solo sets draw inspiration from numerous genres, creating an Americana mix any audience is sure to enjoy.
Take in the Donnie Elliot Experience every Friday night at 5:30pm. They’ll be ready to entertain October 4th, 11th and 18th. Performing a blend of crowd favorites and a few originals like “Honky Cat” and “Taxman,” these guys will add to the ambience while you enjoy your end-of-week meal.
A local pianist and KKC fixture, Bob Britten brings Saturday performances October 5th, 12th and 19th at 5:30pm each evening. Britten studied piano and guitar as a youth growing up in New Jersey, but it was the guitar that brought him to Montana. He studied classical guitar and attended Christopher Parkening’s master classes at Montana State University in 1981 and 1982. Bob played guitar and piano in various bands in Billings including the Gentlemen of Jazz and solo piano nightly at the Cellar 301 for several years.
