About the Play:
Late, A Cowboy Song follows Crick, Mary, and Red as they navigate love, identity, and change. Crick and Mary have been together long enough for their relationship to feel stagnant, yet they follow the expected path—marriage, a baby, a life within familiar boundaries. Then Red, a lady cowboy, rides into Mary’s world, offering a glimpse of open spaces and a different way of living. As time accelerates, sweeping them through the years, Mary begins to question the life she has built and whether her true path lies outside the city limits. Late, A Cowboy Song is a lyrical and thought-provoking journey through independence, gender roles, and the pace of modern life.
