This January, the Bozeman Film Society presents a collection of critically acclaimed international films that have won prestigious Cannes Film Festival Awards and are nominated for Golden Globe Awards. The Winter Film Series will be held on consecutive Wednesday’s downtown at The Rialto Theater
Brazilian film, “The Secret Agent”, follows on Wednesday, January 28th. Starring Cannes Best Actor Wagner Moura, and Directed by Best Director Kleber Mendonça Filho, this world-class political thriller is precise as a razor and expansive as a novel. Dazzlingly filmed in ultra-saturated widescreen, in 1977 Brazil, a man is on the run from government hitmen. Hiding out under an alias in Recife, he becomes enmeshed in a nefarious web of rampant surveillance and official corruption.
