Eagles welcomes Nathan Kalish, Tsunami Funk & more stripped-down sets
An oldie but a goodie! The Eagles continues to be a favorite among the happy hour-inclined. Downtown Bozeman’s seasoned watering hole features drink specials, Friday night BINGO and burgers, plus regular live music. Here’s a look at who’s playing at FOE in the coming weeks.
The Eagles’ next midweek acoustics come courtesy of Noel & Ed on May 15th beginning at 7pm. Head downtown, grab an adult beverage and unwind with their instrumentals before finishing out the workweek.
After a rockin’ Friday night show by Dilly Dilly on May 17th, Nathan Kalish steps in for the Saturday night slot on May 18th. From the American Midwest, Kalish’s latest album I Want to Believe is a country-Americana record with a tip of the hat to psychedelic, folk and rock n’ roll. The songs vary from wistful introspect to knee-slapping social commentary while managing to keep a cohesive familiarity recognizable to fans and followers.
Guitarist and vocalist Robert Lethert of The Innocents (formerly the Booze Hounds) will play a solo set on Wednesday, May 22nd at 7pm. Expect to hear a blend of old school country and contemporary Americana. His strong gravely voice will perfectly complement your evening at the downtown watering hole.
Tsunami Funk will take the stage Friday and Saturday, May 24th and 25th. The Bozeman-favorite group always packs the dance floor with Funk/R&B-rocking grooves. Tsunami Funk plays tunes from artists like Stevie Wonder, Pharrell Williams, Bruno Mars, Red Hot Chili Peppers, James Brown, Earth Wind & Fire, Sly & the Family Stone, Kool & the Gang, Van Morrison, Steely Dan, Bob Marley, and many more! Tsunami Funk is Eddie T, Luke Flansburg, Nate Anderson, David Charles, and Isaiah Morales.
Tsunami Funk vocalist and guitarist Luke Flansburg returns to the Eagles with a midweek performance on Wednesday, May 29th at 7pm. He’ll bring a wide variety of music ranging from funk to rock to blues. Also a member of Pinky & the Floyd and MOTH, prepare for a fun set of covers and originals that will span the genres.
Bridger Mountain Big Band performs regularly on Sundays from 7–9:30pm. The 17-piece jazz orchestra celebrates the music of Duke Ellington, Count Basie, and more, with original arrangements and music of all genres from the 1900s to today. Check them out on Facebook (@TheBridgerMountainBigBand) for performance announcements.
Always a blast, Sunrise Karaoke sets up every Thursday night. Come sing your heart out and maybe even do a dance number between songs. Liquid confidence available upon request.
Eagles Bar live music begins at 9pm, unless otherwise noted. Come play a game of pool, listen to some great local bands, or stop in for a cold one any day of the week! The Eagles is located at 316 E Main, next to the Nova Café. •
