With fresh powder and a chill in the air, Bridger Bowl is set to host a number of events throughout the winter season in addition to their usual everyday downhill fun. Here’s a look at what’s coming up during the back half of January.
A Community Dual GS race will follow on the 16th and also take place on Saturday the 23rd and Sunday the 24th for alpine, telemark, and snowboard racers of all ages. A Classic Telemark Race will take place on Sunday the 17th. Skate start, skate finish sandwiched between a challenging GS racecourse. MSU Bobcat Ski Day is Friday the 22nd. Support the MSU Ski Team with discounted lift tickets with this special day on the hill. Highlights include: Carpooling individuals (in vehicles of 3 or more) receive voucher for $20 lift ticket good today only; Carpooling Season Pass Holders receive 15% discount on food with voucher; and Bridger Bowl donates $5 of every $20 ticket to the MSU Bobcat Alpine Ski Team! There will be live music by Scott Nelson during lunch in the Deer Park Chalet and deer promo by Lone Peak Brewery. There will be a Ridge Tactics Workshop on Saturday the 23rd.
This will be a review of Ridge Skiing protocols, route finding for additional Schlasman and/or Ridge routes and skiing/riding tactics for extreme terrain. To close out the month, a Skin to Win Randonnee Rally will occur on Saturday the 30th. This challenging event is for Randonnee aficionados. An Advanced Telemark Workshop will also take place on the 30th. Take your telemarking to the next level with this specialty workshop focused on skill development, tactics, and techniques.
