MOR’s popular series Brews & the Big Sky: Montana Made, Montana Brewed. returns for another edition on Tuesday, October 25th at the Museum of the Rockies from 6–8pm. “Deep Diggings and Thirsty Miners” with CRH Trident will feature brew selections from Philipsburg Brewing Company. There is an $8 admission which includes a free glass and beer tasting for those 21 and older.
Montana has a long and important history of mining. From gold strikes in Bannock and Virginia City to Butte’s Richest Hill on Earth, miners have been pulling minerals from our rocks and soils since the 1860s. The cities that the miners built were also the locations of Montana’s first pioneer breweries! Learn more about both in this session of MOR’s most popular history event. Space is limited on a first come, first serve basis. Brews & the Big Sky supports the MOR History Program. Brews & The Big Sky explores the unique growth and success of business and industry under the Big Sky paired with unique Montana brews.
This adults-only winter series enters its second season with program expansions. Enjoy a night out as the Museum becomes a lively venue for drinks, dinner, and local history. Begin your evening with an exploration of local industries, presented by Curator of History, Michael Fox, with a lecture in the Hager Auditorium. Following the lecture, sample brews from a Montana brewery, purchase dinner from a local food truck, or wander through MOR exhibitions. Enjoy an adults-only evening at MOR!
