Bozeman Spirits hosts Edis, twangy jazz-pop of John Sherrill
Unwind with an after-work libation! Bozeman Spirits is warming folks up with cold drinks and hot toddies this Montana winter, but the popular tasting room also hosts live music by local musicians every Tuesday night from 5:30–8pm. Here’s a look at the upcoming acts.
Tuesday, March 19th sees the talents of Josh Moore. The North Carolina native is the Bird Dogs’ lead guitarist – and croons, too! Laney Lou & the Bird Dogs fuse old time folk songs with a rock n’ roll attitude, pushing the envelope of what a string band would generally be described as. Headed back into the studio this spring, their latest album, The Vigilante Session, is available now. Come enjoy Josh’s acoustic, solo renditions!
Edis follows on Tuesday, March 26th. Her unique brand of folky, bluesy tunes has moved and entertained audiences for many years. She performs at various venues and functions in solo, duo, and trio acts, as well as with her band Edis and the Incredibles. Edis’ primary instruments are her powerful and heartfelt vocals. She also plays six and twelve-string guitar, four and five-string bass, ukulele, and percussion. Influences include Bonnie Raitt, Marshall Tucker, and George Jones, but whatever the song, you can count on heartfelt vocals and fine musicality.
John Sherrill performs Tuesday, April 2nd. The singer/songwriter plays “a lot of guitar and also sings some” and has been playing around the Bozeman area for quite a while. Developing his artistry during stints in different areas of the country, Sherrill has created a sound that’s truly unique. He brings his twangy jazz-pop and unique personality to every performance. Sherrill returns to Bozeman after some time away, with his incredible music to boot!
