Alpaca Days expand in 2019 for seasonal open farm & clothing sale
Alpacas of Montana, a local farm and retailer specializing in apparel and innovative products, will open its doors (and gates) for its annual Open House & Clothing Sale mid-month.
Extended to three days this year, Alpaca Farm Days will take place October 11th–13th at its 8255 Cottonwood Road location just outside of Bozeman. Hours are noon–6pm on Friday, and 11am–5pm on both Saturday and Sunday.
The following activities will continue throughout the weekend:
– Feed the alpacas and take pictures with the farm’s 6 babies
– Shop in the farm store for alpaca socks, hats and other products (Alpacas of Montana, Inc. is the largest alpaca clothing company in the country)
– Ride on horse-drawn buggies
– Brush miniature donkeys
– Pet the Anatolian Guard Dogs
– Enjoy an afternoon with over a hundred critters
– See demonstrations about llama trekking and packing
– Face painting
– Listen to a Native American Storyteller
– Meet a Grizzly Bear
– Eat Lunch and Dinner from food vendors
A $3 admission for those 5 years and older grants access to these fun activities and an inside look at life on the alpaca farm. A portion of event proceeds will be donated to Heart of the Valley Animal Shelter. Please leave dogs at home, including service animals, for the safety of the on-site critters. Food and drinks will be available for purchase, so plan on lunch and dinner at the farm!
It will be a great weekend for families and individuals of all ages and shoppers will leave with a pair of the warmest socks they’ll ever wear – guaranteed. Alpacas of Montana fleece is as soft as cashmere, warmer than wool and anti-microbial.
