Dr. David Carlson: “Challenges ahead: balancing realism and optimism”
Carlson wears many hats: he trained as an Oceanographer, led large field programmes from tropical to polar, spent a decade at NCAR (National Center for Atmospheric Research) working on climate issues related to oceans + tropics + atmosphere + poles which led to his work at the World Climate Research Programme.
